[Jan 30, 2012] Monthly meet Old Vine (New Venue) (TN5 6ER)

May have to go to Hatton Garden tomorrow so may turn up in the car if I don't have time to go home and get the bike.

 

It's been suggested that for Christmas meet on the 7th Dec, we try somewhere different for an Xmassy dinner in Tun Wells area. If we do this can someone please suggest a good food pub on a main rd? See Chickie's thread.

 

BTW I've let the staff at the BB know that we'll not see them 'til the 4th Jan. That's if everyone's headaches have gone.

 

Can't remember...but was there a suggestion that how about the Old Vine becomes the new SECB meet now ? I think someone already had a chat with the staff and its really not that different distance wise from BB...just nicer venue and staff that actually smile...

Any thoughts...confirming or denying this change...?

 

First I've heard but it seems a nice place. Anyone heard from Skortch re the bog access?

 

Up for that, how do food prices compare for a Wednesday evening?

Will be a bit short notice by then Les, unless we warn them they may or may not get 40 bikers turning up on a quiet wednesday evening demanding food???

 

I'm up for it...also I guess would be courteous to advise BB that we will not be turning up if the move is made...

Nancypants (Cheryl?) lives across from the Old Vine so if it's decided to use it we can ask her to make enqs re Wed eves? She looks respectable too.

 

I would prefer the Old Vine as a meeting option
