Stitches are now out. Looks good but I do appear to have lost some feeling in my thumb. Better loss of feeling than loss of thumb though :D

I knew she'd do it! :sun2:Well done Chris. When are we going out to celebrate? It has to be soon because my op. has been bought forward a week. Only two weekends riding left and I want to see Chris on her new bike before the fun has to stop.
Tell her if she brings hers, I'll bring Zorro out if it's dry, otherwise it'll be the trusty Street Triple on duty.
And I can tell her all about the new crash helmet that I really, really need to buy :)

What I thought was going to be a disaster turned out to be just a minor problem. I manged to get the car well and truly wet and suddenly things on the dash start flashing and it went into limp home mode.

I wasn't far from home and it kept going, so I headed on to Millfield Motors at Lydd to see what could be done. I was dreading the thought of a big bill, although I always take my car there for servicing and MOT's and they're very reasonable and treat me very well.
They plugged in a fault reader, it took about 5 minutes to sort out and the bill was "maybe you could drop in a packet of biscuits for the workshop next time you're passing".

I can't think of anywhere else that would do that for me (except maybe those nice chaps at Ashford Triumph). Nothing beats being able to rely on a local business that really does their best for you.

I've got a new crash helmet. And the roads were almost dry today. And it doesn't matter that my heated grips have stopped working, because it's still too warm to need them. :)

I know, Phil, I know. I fear I am a constant disappointment to him. I did think about a heated vest on my Chistmas list, but I am easily led astray and that new crash helmet is sooo blingy!!! I had to have it instead.
    Maybe next year :)
