Non bikey, just want some opinions.

Cheers fella, have a feeling it might be a bit more than a day or two job but with enough planning and prep it could be condensed I reckon.

Used to know someone who put a Renault 5 turbo engine in a Mini.

same here skortch. dont mind lending a hand. done a few conversions, and used to dropping engines out of mr2's so mini would be abreeze.. also got a engine hoist if needed

 

An engine hoist could well come in handy, although with suitably burly help it's probably easier to lift the mini off the engine!

Still a lot to look into, an N/A D series Honda is a damn tight fit without an extended front. But likewise finding somewhere to squash the turbo into place on the K series is going to prove a challenge. I've seen one that just kind of pokes out the grill but it looks messy, may not be an alternative though.
