    I knock on wood too. But more just a habit than a real superstition I guess. I did used to give my dog tags a quick kiss before racing! Still didn't win any pots so must not have been the right trick lol!

    This could be seen more of an OCD thing but I must always have a volume control set to an even number. Don`t know why.

    Not OCD, we as humans do have a "thing" with numbers.
    I always opt for number three....or three of something, or three attempts at something or lottery numbers divisible by three etc.,

    3 definitely seems to be an inbuilt thing for sure. "3, 2, 1, GO!" for example or the fact that when hugging someone studies have shown less than 3 seconds seems insincere but longer than 3 starts to feel a tad creepy. Although how this study came about is anyones guess.
