Realising the 7Diner is the most convenient meeting point for evening runs in my neck of the woods.
Last week I waited 10 minutes for a cup of tea. Because I was outside it was in a paper cup, but the same price!
Aaaaaannnnnndddddd, I had to pay up front. They thought I might do a runner! For a cup of tea!!!!!!

I shall wait inside tomorrow evening.

Still no shock back from Maxtons :furious:. "It'll be done in two weeks" they said - 5 weeks ago !!! Needless to say I have left a pretty terse message on their answer phone, although not half as satisfying as it would have been speaking to someone . Apparently they are brilliant at suspension. Seems it is not just of the forks and rear shock type - more of the "I shall wait in suspense to see if I ever get my shock back!!". If I ever buy another track bike one thing I will make damn sure is that is does NOT have anything to do with Maxton's on it!
Yet again, another trackday missed thanks to them :stomp:!!!!

had to go out twice earlier today, def wasn't that much fun, especially out here on the marsh! . wasn't too bad in some of the more sheltered back lanes around ashford but anything with open land either side made for some interesting riding

Half way through washing the car (the bike was next) and it starts raining! So give up on that and go inside...rear wheel removed and ready for puncture repair although in proper light I almost on the wear limiters so new tyre it is then...so I decide to fit the new tax disc holder I have had knocking about for about a year by removing the old one...bolt rusted in and head rounded off so drilling out is the only option, no wait there is a bolt holding on the passenger foot peg it can go on there and I will just snap/cut the old one off :) oh no this bolt rusted in and have totally ruined/ twisted my allen key! So I give up! Beer and pizza looking good though :)

spent yesterday playing around trying to get one of the many spare exhausts to fit on the thundercat. FZR R6 and Gsxr 750 but none of them will

Then today I go to take the Hornet out for a blast only to notice one of the indictors has stopped working , while tinkering with that I notice the smell of petrol and a rather large wet patch forming on the floor. Closer inspection is a split fuel pipe

So this week the evening are going to be taken up with getting the wheels off the track bike and new tyres fitted, plus doing the rear on the R6 followed by fixing the hornet I can see my hammer will be blunt by the end of the week and my duct tape supply running low

ordering a standard exhaust for the Thundercat only to find once it got here it doesn't fit  turns out I had a full race system on the cat so the bore is larger.
Hopefully the roll of duct tape I have used will hold instead :D
