having filled in a gazillion forms for my UK Visa and trying to apply in person, it appears that there is only 1 office in the south of england and yes you guessed it they do not have any appointments for the next 2 months.

They have of course said we do have an availability in one of our other offices...

I may now need to go to Glasgow...:hairout:

Thanks Tom! My brother managed to wrestle it back in the end, sans power steering lol. Hopefully it's only a pulley drive and a belt to be replaced so not quite as bad as I thought. On good note, I got to ride the bike to work today :)

Bad luck! I would have no idea whom to call for that: I remember telling a bemused-looking family who'd come to view our last house that I put clothes into the washing machine and two days later they appear in this magic warm cupboard upstairs. The father caught on first and chuckled but the mother and two young sons just stared at me, jaws dropped. Perhaps it's the Magic Link?

Woke up this morning, fancied a bit of a ride. Went and did a bit of shopping in Crawley. Now my bike is absolutely filthy, and I do mean proper caked, so can't put the cover on and rain forecast for next few days so no chance to wash, dry and cover up... I guess it doesn't matter too much in the scheme of things but I don't like having a dirty bike :(

On the plus side with no cover on, at least I can look at it out of the window...

I don't have the option of 'just fancying a ride' due to it being buried :( under garage stuff. It'd take an hour to uncover/unchain it although it was clean & oiled when I last saw it so should stay that way during the hibernation.

    You lazy bugger mega!
Whatever happened to cleaning the bike yourself? You have a cruiser now ffs! Fifteen squid for the acf50, bit of elbow grease and you are sorted! Sheesh. Retired folk are getting so lazy these days! :giggle:
