Isn't the bike air cooled? Might be a bit of a job converting to water cooling just to heat a carb :p

Could reroute the crank case breather via the carb and wrap a sleeve around it (sock) to provide frost prevention.
Would only cost a piece of rubber hose and a sock at most.

Not really very helpful then, eh ;)
You suggested gadgets for keeping her carbs warm, then went on to mention something unsuitable. I merely offered viable alternative.

Perhaps I'll keep my sugestions to myself for other peeps then and just let you answer ALL the questions then Dave:sfight:? Have also seen copper strip wrapped around carb bowls and just bolted to engine, so that the heat is conducted from the hot metal to the cold carb.

Take your sensitive self away and count to 10 or something.
Not sure what's up with you of late, but an open forum where all opinions are entertained and respected isn't the place for it.

Now, turn that frown upside down and let's get back to taking p*ss out of Ramrider ;)

    Maybe...
Was offered a low milage 1275 engine today for £100, which will go very nicely with the highly tuned head that arrived the other night ( S&S) and a garrett T2.

It's that or a different actuator for the bike.

Get the 1275 mate, don't put a turbo anywhere near it. If you get good with a welder, I will have some work for ya?

I've already got a 1275 in it, this would be a project. It's either a turbo or a blower and the work for a turbo is less :p
Would only run low boost, just enough to up the power to about 120bhp. It's that or an R1 conversion, but at £100 for the lump this just became more economical.

    Aye! High five, us!

I might start a thread about the car, once I've badgered RW into making a "not bike related" forum :D

Supposedly you can add a tablespoon of alcohol to the fuel to prevent carb icing problems.
