Im looking to buy some tyres for my bike with a few things in mind. 1- mileage 2- wet weather grip as im going to be using the bike for commuting from Hastings to Tonbridge throughout the winter. Ive got two tyres in mind which have been recommended to me which are.... Michelin pilot road 2's and the new road 3's just wondering if anyone on here has them or has had them and if so whats your verdict on them????

I have the original Pilot Sports on my Bandit, which seem to work fine for commuting and for £129.99 the pair I'm not complaining!

You might also look at Continental Motions... I've been using them for the last couple of years, they are excellent tyres for wet roads, very grippy and stable, and last well - I'm seeing 9-10,ooo miles per pair on the Hornet, currently have one on the back of the Divvie and it's done over 5000 so far with plenty of tread left.

There's a review on my blog here.
