The weather was too nice not to so we set off from Finchy's at about 1.30 -

    Teynham - Faversham - Challock - Charring - Boxely - Upchurch - Iwade

We went out separate ways at Iwade having taken the Lower Rainham road.

    Jolly nice it was too!

'Hanging' or 'hung'? I'm not going to compare.

Nice little ride out - thanks for showing a few new roads. I just need to get used to the new tyres though (although I changed all of the suspension settings when I got home).

Top class photos too! Good work!

    great photo's butttttt.............
where did you learn to park ? must have been eastbourne or bexhill, in the middle of a road at a junction

I'm guessing it was the only area free from huge potholes

If you think that's bad you should have seen us both standing on a bend in the middle of the road taking photographs! :disco:

Yes, I've put all of the settings to 'base' with a nudge towards 'sport', but have kept the preload up (but not maxed) on the rear shock as I'm a heavy sod. The vague front end at 'higher speeds' ;) wasn't especially good for confidence, so I hope that adding some flex in the set-up will sort it out. Oddly enough after I left you, I gave the bike a bit of a spank through a few turns and those tyres are actually pretty good on tarmac... surprisingly, but are worlds apart from Scorps.

I think adding the 25mm to the fork length will help the stability massively. You've effectively shortened the headstock angle by a degree or so which on a bike as tall as an ADV will make a noticable difference

TBH I like the quicker steering and it's never made the slightest difference to high-speed stability before, so I'm adamant that it's the tyres being unsuited to a firm set-up. I'll run it for a bit and see how it goes, before I commit to getting the forks lengthened... although we both know how this is going to end (probably sooner rather than later).

To be fair, my bike is 'a little bit dusty' after the ride, so I'll give it a sponge-off tomorrow :).

I rinsed the salt off mine when I got back ..... it takes 5 minutes and keeps all those lovely finishes fresh!
