    Hello

Four of us are going to the 'ring on three bikes in May, leaving on 24th, coming back 28th. We're staying at Sliders in Dollendorf. We'll also be squeezing in lunch in Amsterdam on the way back, just because we can.

Thought I'd post this up in case anyone else fancies coming along. I've done plenty of laps of the 'ring by car but this will be my first time on a bike, so I'm planning to do 2-3 gentle laps and apart from that the main attraction for me will be the local roads, which are epic.

    Rob

Oooh that ties in nicely with my half-term :D! Would depend on if it also ties in with my pennies (or lack of them) at the time

Total cost including £200 spending money, £150 for fuel and three laps of the ring is approx £560 :)

Got any tips for me? I know from driving round it that the tarmac is really polished, and goes ridiculously slimy if it rains... what's it like in the dry? (I've done probably 45-50 laps by car but I'm a bike virgin)

Also there are at least 50 surface changes, anything I really need to worry about there? I'm not planning to go mad on it, was intending to ride it with something approaching the level we'd normally ride at on a Sunday

, LOL, Yeah Right, maybe the first part of the lap :)

Well Don't waste your money if it is raining :) Play it as much as poss on PS3 you learn the course, though not the same as riding/driving, but you get to know where the bends are, it is the up and down that is the killer.

Try and ride it when little traffic generally late in the day, not early morning when it can be damp and very busy.

Try and keep as much as poss on the Driving lines. but as you said try and stay sensible and not get dragged in to chasing. if I was not going to Switzerland I would come with you. :(
