As some of you know i recently went to Almeria for 4 days on track with Focused events,
Day 1 on track was a big eye opener and a massive leap into the fire, considering i had only ever done 3 track days at Lydden hill. Almeria is a 14 corner 4km track, anyway after the 3 sighter laps we were off on our own and the second corner (a blind uphill right hander) i went straight on and detoured through the gravel. The next problem was teaching myself to go round the chicane and not over it (which i did 7 times) the rest of the day was a none event trying to learn the track.
Day 2 due to feeling out of my depth and feeling overwhelmed by the track i had a day with Niall McKenzie and learnt the lines and more about riding. Felt 100% more confident after that and in the afternoon was doing consistant 2min 20.
Day 3 (are you still reading?) was riding so much smoother and started pushing a bit harder, was feeling so good and next lap pushed a bit more till i came off, was only a slowish of and the gravel flipped the bike and me over. So now Tango has a bit of gravel rash.
my lap time before the off was 2min 13.
Day 4 just concentrated on riding smoother and getting the bike back home in one piece my lap times were more consistant at 2. 14 and am waiting for times from the afternoon.
In summary, the event was well run, accomadation was excellant the weather was 23 degrees the learning curve was fantastic. the only niggle is the way Focused transport your bikes and kit, they just strap the bikes in and wedge old blankets and tyres between the bikes, no stillages.
Hope to upload some pics soon

Sounds like a great way to spend four days... good to hear your encounters with the kitty litter weren't more serious. :)
