Smiling from ear to ear having got my bike back from its MOT and being lowered. ( thank you so so much for sorting it and taking it @Stars and Stripes )
Tax it tomorrow, then hopefully gain more strength back after my last chemo next week, and can’t wait to get back out there

Let me know once you're ready to get out on the bike again. Maybe another 1066 meeting of the 500's? :)

Bike therapy I like that. I had my first proper post Covid ride out last week, it was bike therapy big smiles. Canterbury, Faversham, Ashford, Tenterden, Hawkhurst, Hastings, Rye, Folkestone, and home. Enjoyed it that much I didn't stop anywhere. :disco:

I know it's vain, shallow and everything else I shouldn't admit to, but I love, Love, LOVE the pictures of me and my ER5 on getapic, taken from the side of the road on my way toRye and back, last Sunday :)
Just need to save up and decide which I like best.

It's turned into an obsession! There was another photographer just before the Appledore bridge yesterday. I was on the way to Rye, for lunch with Phil and Mrs Read when we spotted him. I determined to get the best, ever picture of my beloved Street Triple in action on the homeward journey.
I was confident as I love that bridge left handed and as expected, executed a perfect cornering technique, nipping round stylishly (at least, I imagined it was pretty good).
And just in time for the articulated lorry coming the other way to fill the entire camera lens
No doubt a punishment for vanity.

My longest ride since before all the brain nonsense started! 120 miles, all in lashing rain with some fellow Triumph owners club members. I enjoyed every minute :)

There was a lunch stop around the 100 mile mark and just as well as I was starting to get very hungry. The waterproofs stayed waterproof, the bike ran perfectly and it was good to get back to some serious mud, gravel and general challenging back lane stuff.

Two things to note. The car park at the Winchelsae Beach Cafe has been covered in very fine gravel. I was unable to get any grip with my feet, trying to park AND the toilets were still closed. Crossed off my visiting list for the next few years.
Also, mind the painted chairs in the Strand Cafe. I spent over an hour trying to remove the paint that rubbed off onto my Rukka trousers and as soon as it's dry enough for bike cleaning I also have to try and get it off my bike seat. I rang, to tell them to warn others. They did apologise but they didn't offer to clean my bike.

A good day though. Lots of fun and feeling pleased with myself for not having to come home too early.

Getting out on the bike for a couple of hours today for the first time in a good while. Nice 60 mile run over into Kent then back home via Mayfield where I picked up a tail of a couple of members for a few miles before I turned off.

I was on time limit today else I would have joined you for a bit. I'm surprised you remembered what my bike looks like considering how long its been since I was able to join you for a run out.

Spotting another purple Street Triple on the Strand in Rye. Bittersweet, as I miss being able to ride mine, but good to see and had a nice Street Triple chat with the owner.
Then Leila arrived and we found somewhere warm for coffee, so a very nice outing, apart from the Kawasaki behaving badly on the way home.
At least the older bikes keep going and it got me back without the aid of a breakdown truck. :)
