    My boy has just received his A-levels and got the grades he needs...so is off to do Marine engineering in two weeks...very very proud Mum..:)

    Which uni? My son is doing automotive engineering at Bath. (Currently on a Year in Industry at Mahle Powertrain in Northampton). But he may yet swap back to Marine - he was sorely tempted 'cos he loves sailing and the sea.

    My grandughter got all B and C's . but has taken A's a year early - not certain if she has to re take when she is 17 or what happens - they are all pleased, so I am too ...

    (Edited bit -- eek she has told me off - as apparently the B and 2 C's are excellent and she talen them a year eraly )

    Bike miles (dry of course) and getting a call from a driving instructor with a suitable vehicle!

    Means I don't get sneered at for taking a test in a ramped up mini, does mean I have to go to Witham for the lessons but planning to condense them all into 2 days anyway :rubhands:

    He is going to warsash in Southampton he is being sponsored by trinity house, has to do a few months on campus and then 6 at sea and rotates like that for three years

    It'll be hard work, of course, but best not tell him that, eh? He'll be walking about appearing permanently drunk having just acquired his sea-legs before being cast ashore once again. I don't know Warsash - is that part of Southampton University? They're big in naval engineering, I know.

    all i need now to be roadworthy is a end can;)
    Oh yeah & for my body to heal enough to fit new iteams :bhead: it might b handy to b able to walk to the bike aswell :lol2:

    crash bungs & paint can wait i just need to get back out thier :vesp:
