Agreed. Hornets are very good. You could easily make do with one. If you really have to :ner:

It all depends on your plans.
I've got a Tiger 800 that I do about 12,000 miles a year on. It gets me to work, I can load it up and tour on it, it's basically replaced my car.
I also have a Thruxton that I ride on sunny days when I'm planning a bit of a ride out and some general showing off but I wouldn't tour on it and it's a bit of an arse in the wet as you catch all the spray full in the face.
I've also got an ex-military, 30 year old KLR650 that gets me into the War and Peace show. I wouldn't use it instead of the Tiger, it's slow and like riding a two wheeled tractor although I love it. I suppose you could tour on it, and I could ride it to work but, well, it's 30 years old and so are the brakes....
Ask yourself, are you a fair weather rider, are you planning to travel long distances or just hoon around, will you want to attach luggage to it?
If the answers are yes, no, yes and no - buy a naked bike and enjoy!
If, however, they are no, yes, no and yes, better look for something a little more substantial....
