Nice. Everything I've read about them has been positive. Haven't seen a red one before, looks good

Having seen Phil's actual bike, I can honestly say that it is a stunning looking thing in red.

Yup: all the lights still come on. They obviously stopped using 'Lucas - Prince of Darkness' years ago.

    That was right, wasn't it?

Delivery of a chocolate cake, necessary for those newly out of hospital to aid a speedy recovery, thank you Phil and Chris, and it arrived just in time to celebrate my bike being delivered all the way from Staffordshire Triumph. It's in absolutely mint condition, under 6,000 miles with a service and a brand new set of Conti's fitted which I didn't expect. I can't wait to get well enough to ride it. I am thrilled to have another Street Triple.

Glad you're home. Hope surgery went ok. Delivery of chocolate cake and a new bike seems like a perfect healing remedy to me!

A call from my Solicitor to tell me the accident was absolutely, definitely, no way, not my fault. It's official. My no claims is safe! I knew this but it's great news to have it confirmed after such a long wait. So, all over except the claim for injuries etc. which I'm not really bothered about. All I wanted was to prove it wasn't my fault and have my bike back. It may not be the same bike but it looks the same and it's much lower mileage then the written off bike. Once I can start riding again (in about 5 weeks if I behave like a model patient) I can start putting it all behind me at last.

Getting a thank you for giving way to two learner riders & the instructor while driving along a narrow road. The learners both looked quite nervous.

Picked up a purple Street Triple today, front end damage and "Bad Girl" sticker on the belly pan. Just got to make one whole one out of two broken ones now.

I think that was mine! GL12 oZN Do you want to sell the pipes or swap for originals?

Yes, it is most certainly yours. I have yours which is a "cat c " which is therefore allowed back on the road and I have Jackie's (the wife) green one which is a "cat b" and not allowed back on the road. Luckily the green one has no front end damage.

You may well see your bike back on the road but with the older round chrome headlights.

Not sure if to break the rest of the green one or sell it complete (with no lights etc) as a track bike.

What is the story with the pipes, the ones on your purple bike here look like originals to me.

    Cheers, OldMan

They are track pipes and extremely noisy. I like the look of the originals so didn't want any of the other pipes that usually get fitted. I was given the track pipes as a Christmas present.
I have the standard brackets and side stand if they are of any use to you. I had it lowered as I have little legs

Standard bits always handy although the green one is lowered as well, Jackie could reach the ground but always feels more comfortable being able to put feet flat on the ground. I will check with Jackie tonight but I cant imagine she will want very noisy pipes so may well be up for a swap.
