Definitely Cuckfield Brett, junction with the B2036.
Uckfield is too far over for me if heading west.

190 odd miles in this v. hot weather, sore bum & 'now' illegal rear tyre. Somehow beer in my hand feels well earned. Cheers guys!

It was a good run, wasn't.:sun2:
Leaving early we avoided much of the heat and traffic.

It's good to get out early and beat most of the traffic, and heat. Phew it was hot at the end. I don't doubt Haslemere is a nice place to live, but not to ride a motorcycle through. It goes on and on and on....

Thanks to Vitesse45, JohnA, NinjaBob and Tomasbe for their company. And not forgetting the "MollyMaid" policeman who gave John some cleaning tips. Hey John, nice numberplate .

He said that I wasn't paying attention and should have seen him behind me, since he wears a fluorescent jacket etc.
I said I did see him but was ignoring him thinking he's one of those plonkers with 'Polite' jackets.
    He laughed.:hah:
..and what do you know, he was carrying a bottle of Pledge on his bike :alien: Don't have space for chain lube, let alone furniture polish!?:think2:

    Happy ending though..
