Should be re branded. Top gear is only topgear with the originals :p

    Much younger :p

You know what I meant, there is a reason this formula has been so popular for so long, the talent. Although.... Hearing rumors of a nexflix rebrand for Clarkson and Co. All is not lost.

I like Evans and he is obviously a complete and utter petrol head with access to all the big celebs and the very best cars but it won't be the same. The chemistry probably won't be there and I dare say I won't be watching.

Hopefully Clarkson, Hammond and May are plotting their comeback.

I don't have any respect for Evans when he clearly was lieing about hosting the show where all along he was talking Contracts, do not like his breakfast show, or TFI when it was on, and for me his hosting skills will ruin the show.

The Top Gear you know is a rebrand. It was originally a car consumer show & the hosts were Chris Goffey & William Woollard!

I think Chris Evans would make it work, although the format will change & won`t be to everyone`s liking. Life would be boring if everyone liked the same thing.

Don`t forget, in the 5 years since taking over the breakfast show from Sir Terry Wogan (who hosted the show for 29 years in total, 12 years first time round & then another 17 second time round), the listener figures have risen by nearly 2 million so he must be doing something right.

I have seen a lot of comments on Facebook about how many will not watch but I bet the vast majority will watch the first episode out of curiosity :)

I'm sorry but it will be an improvement.... It was all about the 3 of them, I enjoyed it but the made up shite did get annoying...

Didn't watch it before and probably still won't, too much scripted garbage and the three of them pissing around most of the time....I think it had stopped being about cars long ago!

It did Chris, it turned into an entertainment show loosely based around cars.

I've seen rumours that there will be at least one woman presenter and that there will be motorbikes incorporated. Both of these elements could be a Good Thing. I've asked Suzi but she's saying nothing :) I've also read that the Beeb is throwing open one position to all comers to audition. Anyone fancy being paid vast sums just to shoot the breeze (in a knowledgable way) as though at a cafe stop on a ride out?

Apparently I do say "apparently" :) they re offered the job back to Clarkson, and he told them where to stick it, then as a very last resort they offered it to Evans (no one else was Judas enough but Evans to take it)

Didn't they do a type of send in your video of you doing a report on car audition thing a few years back? Isn't that how Hammond or may got the job?

I object to my name being besmirched in this manner. I am quite aware that there are also red and green bikes.

gotta say im with the proff here....Evans was a "not interested the show belongs to my mates" party all the way through then suddenly..."im the new top gear host"....if that's not sticking the finger to your mates then I don't know what is.
