At last! The Daytona has been released from the back of the shed. What a beautiful bike it is. A bit of a wobbly start, but I soon felt at home on it. Took it to the Dover Transport Museum do this morning and managed to stay upright on the gravel car park and after that everything seemed easy. By the time I got home I was longing to take it out again and listen to the new pipe singing away happily.
Took the Street Triple out afterwards, just to fill up with fuel for the week's commuting, and was amazed by the difference between the two bikes. They are both my favourite bike. Can't believe my luck at picking the Daytona up for such a good price last year. Well worth the long wait to ride it again. It was awesome!

Hope so, Paul. Still a lot to learn as it behaves so differently from the Striple but I shall get the hang of it eventually.

MOT and new tyre day for the fireblade at 9am. At least I can use it again this coming weekend.

Just hope the weather holds off as it seems it will be raining at 11am.

Yesterday made me smile, a lot. Met up with with Accessengineer and we had a rather long, windy route ride that was ever so slightly spirited!!! Safe to say within 20 miles my new tyres were well and truly run in.
Popped in to see his CRF250 and Beeladys Daytona (you had better bring the Daytona today Emma). Both lovely machines.

And I am still grinning because in 30 minutes the fireblade gets dragged out again to meet them for another days riding along with Phil Read and another slightly unhinged fellow

Hmmm, think I will take the cross country route to Ashford for brekkie with this lot - yep, definitely smiling :whoo:

It was fun today! Still learning how to manage that Daytona but starting to really enjoy myself on it. I hope you've had a look at the price of that nice, red Daytona we saw earlier. Say the word and I'll go in and haggle over the price for you :)
Now, if I can just work out how to get aboard that bike without a step ladder I'll be very happy.

I did, the red one needs to drop by £500 but for that money I could get a decent(ish) RGV250 and scruffy DR400.

    I really want another 2T.

Sorry mate, not for me, thought it was a bit crap. Weather was rubbish last year which didn't help. I would rather go off for a windy 150 mile route ride to be honest.

I don't think we're going, although no idea what's planned for the weekend. Rather depends on Family stuff that needs to be done

Lost some respect for Squirrels today.

Buzzing around on the bike ive seen a few spread out in the road and as per usual thought they'd fallen from a tree or been run over whilst crossing the road at speed.

But today i sounded the horn at 1 which was either deaf or so engrossed with something in the road it really wasn't fussed about being squashed. I did miss it but really think it should have taken the initiative, I used to think they were pretty canny creatures.
