The first of my regular Wednesday evening rides this year. :whoo2:
Weather is looking good so I'll try and find a nice sunset for you.

Meet at The 7Diner, Polhill, Halstead, TN14 7AA.
    Depart 1700
Return about 3 hours later for swift drink in a local hostelry.

All welcome, but please indicate if you are interested.

If you do attend (and sorry to preach, but it has been known) I would advise clear visors and working lights.
It will be very dark under trees etc towards the end of the ride.

If you are coming this way let me know and will meet on route, Ali doesn't get home till 5:30 so 6 would be our earliest time, otherwise we'll try to make it another time

23 degrees is certainly ossum enough! As somebody pointed out to me though, it still gets dark about 2000 so a 1830 start leaves too little time to get a good ride in, so I'm going to start earlier.
Departure time is now 1700 for anyone who can make it.

Sorry Ray, because of the above we won't meet up. Keep an eye on my posts though because it would be great to see you both. Maybe a quick drink in the "Rose and Crown" again?

isnt that the point of attending a jimbo run?.......the rush to get there is just a warm up for the actual event :giggle:.......unfortunatley my work locations and start times to reach said locations dont allow me to attend  , even if i rushed ....last night we set off at 7pm for a midnight start at Newton Abbott ( ok ok after a bit of Colin McCrae style driving through the lanes :nbite:we arrived at 11pm ) ...tonight its a 6pm set off for a 9pm start in Poole and tommorow its going to be an 8pm set off for an 11pm start in cheltenham .....occasionally we do get London jobs where we can start out later at 10- 10.30pm .....but they are rare.

Phew, it was hot. The temperature didn't drop too much either after the sun went down.

A bit of traffic in the first part of the ride to Rye, but great roads lead expertly by Bob.

Refreshments in "The Strand Quay Cafe" was marred by very slow service.
But they are open 'til late on Wednesdays now.

I lead back to the A21 via Peasmarsh, Newenden, Hawkhurst and Goudhurst.
Perfect timing too as the light had faded by then, and the traffic was lighter.

A quick drink at the end with Bob and John rounded off the evening nicely.
    Thanks guys.

Thanks Jim and Bob - it was refreshing as ever:)
As the days grow longer, perhaps more people will attend the Wed evenings - traffic evaporates after 19:00 and the roads are all quiet..:rubhands:

Yeah I am currently stripping down my bikes to find where Jimbo has hidden the tracker. He always seam to go down about half the roads I use just a few days before
I am going to stitch him up soon with some off roading (:
