Well, one thing and another I haven't been on the bike for aaaaggggeeeesss, so I decided to imagine I'm out tonight.
Anybody want to pretend to join me? Don’t worry if you have another fantasy booked, I understand.

Virtual meet at The Grasshopper Inn, Moorhouse, Nr Westerham, TN16 2EU.
(Please note NOT The Grasshopper IN Westerham!)
Start your synapses to visualize a depart @ 1830
rest you brain halfway(ish) for chips and return about 2 hours later for swift drink (look in your fridge now).

    Here we go:
Up and over Goodley Stock and through Crockham Hill and Edenbridge
Right to Marsh Green and Dormansland – oooo can you picture the nice smooth road
Up to the A264 and along to Groombridge, I always think I’m dreaming on this bit of road.
Through the back roads to Eridge Green and Rotherfield, blimey some of that was a bit bumpy even thinking about it!
On to Mayfield and Newick Lane to Heathfield, look, no traffic (well it’s bound to be like this the whole ride)
Aaaahhhh, the B2096 also devoid of traffic. If you can see some get a grip on yourself!
Then Battle, Whatlington, Cripp’s Corner, Staplecross and Northiam (pretend Alan’s not there).
On to Newenden (imagine the burger bar isn’t there, we’re not stopping).
Then the A28 to Rolvenden (smooth, smooth, smooth eh?), then Benenden and Hartley (bumpy, bumpy, bumpy eh?).
On to Goudhurst and chips, I can smell the salt and vinegar. Wash it down with a Tango (one of my five-a-day)

Come on, wake up, we’re not done yet! Think of that throbbing between your legs, broom, broom.
Down the hill, look at that glorious sunset.
Along to Horsmonden, Brenchley, Matfield, Capel and Tudeley.
Whoa, that was a bit dark, I assume you have a clear visor? If you haven’t get a grip on yourself again!
Golden Green is out then, so clip to the A21 for a nice bit of main road riding.
Wow, no traffic here either. I’ve never seen it so empty, even the M25.

Aaaahhhh, The Rose & Crown. I’ll get them in as it won’t cost me a penny, what’ll you have?
I’m going to have about 10 pints and, you know what, I can guarantee I won’t have a hangover!!

If you could be arsed to get your thinking cap on thanks for your company.
If you weren’t with me you missed a good, fast, quiet, economical ride.

    Who’s leading the next one?

wicked ride out I needed that rather than being stuck in traffic coming back from work.

Being a virtual ride out also meant it was warm and dry, not a pot hole in sight :D and every bend was empty :rubhands::thumbsup:

Damn, I was kick boxing by the time you posted this. Your virtual rideout would have been much more enjoyable and a hell of a lot easier on my legs!!

Your ride outs sound so much fun, but I've never been able to get to one (never finish work and physio in time to attempt to join in). But this unexpected opportunity was such a treat for me. I enjoyed every mile of it. So realistic! I haven't a clue where any of those places are. Just like a real life ride out:)
I am already looking forward to the next one.
