Do a bit of research, the later Gixers can have the ECU fiddled with, not sure about a K4 though, it's a lot finer tune on the ECU, smaller increments in the rev range, every 250rpm as opposed to 500rpm and IIRC and it can tune all the injectors

Steve Jordans your man with the kit to do it

They are very good, as any stand alone management is. As you've probably read it gives you great control over your fuelling and ignition map.

Is it worth it? That depends mostly on your bike and the mods on it.
Some bikes (Street and Speed Triple for example) have a very good ECU that has open software, you buy a cable and download a program for your laptop and off you go.
Most bikes don't so once you change the engine characteristics beyond the range the stock ECU can account for then it can be optimal to add some piggyback management to correct for you.

Roughly the premise is once you go beyond 2 changes you need remapping either with piggyback or ECU flash.
    1 mod equals:
High flow air filter / air box mod
    Exhaust headers
    End can
    Internal engine mod.

So for most riders, K&N + end can = 2 points so no changes needed. Once you go full exhaust system and air box mod you're likely to be stretching the ECU past it's range of adjustment and could benefit from something like a PC.

The question is really, how much is that fettling worth? If your mods make the bike run like arse or you're seeking every last bhp/ftlb then it might be worth the outlay BUT and this is a big one - fitting a PC and downloading a map off the internet is little better than going without in terms of maximum potential (be that performance or responsiveness etc.) because a d/l map won't be tailored to your specific engine and set up meaning for the best experience you need a rolling road session to have it mapped correct for your bike. Prices vary but it's not cheap or fast, expect a full day on the rollers.

TL:DR It looks flash when you open the rear seat and the lights zip up and down plus it makes you look a bit hard-core even if you don't set it up properly. If that's worth the price, you have to decide.

Cheers for that this helped a lot! I work with someone who tunes bikes think he works for a company called Alfa and he does race bikes or something.. so I could get it tuned to suit what the bikes is doing, someone is selling one on here for a k1-k4 1000 but mine is the 600 so not sure if it'll fit

Bottom of the page, there's some entry fields. Pop in your bike and year, then the for sale bike and year - if the part numbers are the same then you're golden.
I'd be 90% sure they're identical, all the PC3 systems are the same just different dongles for connecting them and I'd hazard a guess that Suzuki weren't making proprietary connectors for only the 600cc bike :p
