    I don't come on to this forum very often, but I thought some of you may be interested in this.

    If you are looking for some inspiration, then can I suggest you spend 10 minutes watching and listening to Talan Skeels Piggins about his crash and how he got into and copes with racing and formed Talan Racing.

    It is a very humbling watch

    It puts my miserable and pathetic disability into context, and should be an inspiration for all. He has my utmost respect and admiration and I am proud and honoured to be associated with him through my firm as his main team sponsor

    Oh, and he will be on BT Sport at 8pm on Tonight (28th)

    He's so enthusiastic! His face just lights up when he really gets into it. Inspirational indeed.

    I chatted with Talan some years ago when working on the stabilisers for my own bike, he was still trying to get his licence at that point but they were not at all impressed with the outriggers from a safety point of view, like myself he wanted total independence allowing for a level competition against able bodied riders.
    It's good to see a solution that works for him, a pity to have that reliance on support team but he's a lucky guy to have dedicated catchers :p

    He actually runs/founded an experience course for other disabled riders now (or did), it's pretty rudimentary and the bikes are much like the one he uses, a quick shifter and toe clips then a catch team. No stability control or anything but it's an invaluable step for anyone that's had a serious off into 'getting back on the horse' not all have the resources or ability to find another way.

    Elfed - the chap you met, Tom whom I helped design the stabilisers for. He went to the experience course by Talan before building his first adapted bike.

    Like they say, where there's a will and lack of self preservation, there's a way :D

    Elfed or Alvin I was close :hah: I still think a track day bike should be your next two wheeled project :thumbsup: but alas I didn't win the lotto so I am a bit short on :cash:

    But you have a ton of bikes! :p
    I suspected as much when a truck didn't arrive at the Batcave laden with bits of your bikes.

    Project order is currently;
    Prep and sell Ogy
    Bolt on the remainder of the bits for the Coupe
    Sell all the left overs

    After that, it's either on with the silly b*llox, super powered mini or do something small for a break - maybe some powered drift trikes or a track bike (if I can find something cheap enough).

    Of course this is on hold currently as I found out yesterday the hospital has ... dum dum dum, lost my surgery paperwork again so I might be waiting until after January to be fixed now. :\
