    20131216_115331 (640x480).jpg You may notice that there is a small piece missing from the first cylinder, i say missing it must be somewhere but it would appear this is kind of serious damage. :( Still my cunning plan is a little chemical metal and duct tape and it will be fine for another 50,000 miles :D

    Can that be bored out with an over-sized piston fitted? It'll make a nice winter project for someone. How deep is the pothole? Another question would be the overall state of the block, because some significant stresses will have gone through it to achieve what we see in the picture.

    The lowest cost and safest option may be a re-conned short engine.

    That is FUBAR. I'd hazard a re-bore or sleeve is out of the question as it looks like the wall has parted company, as opposed to being scored or pitted.
    Do the safe thing, make it a coffee table and get another block.

    And i have heard that next year Yamaha are doing the 3 cylinder route on their R6 and R1s anyway so mine was just the first :D

    Personally I cant see anything wrong! Apart from mine arent open like that so shouldnt there be some sort of lid over holes and piston thnigs?

    i have got Mikes spare CG125 engine in my garage
    that would drop in with a bit of duct tape and zip ties and then you would be sorted :D:lol2:
