    Really good to get out today with everyone, nice route from Yalding to 7 Diner by Jim...a bit hairy coming down Ide Hill in the wet with the sun in your eyes as an added bonus! Hope you all got home safe.

    No apologies needed Jim! Did you not notice the speed with which I handed it to you to lead? (It was my cunning plan all along :rubhands:!) See, I know where I want to go more or less but I also know that you know all the good roads. Winners all round hee hee. Loved the route and was very happy not to be leading it. And on top of that - I got my pancakes!!!! :disco:

    Great to see 12 bikes lined up outside the Diner. Great turnout, especially for this time of the year. Excellent ride there and back with only a few minor patches of rain, a few interestingly slidy roads and one or two "I can't see where I am going due to sun and wet road " moments :eek: - all adding to the fun. At least the roads did dry up again once we got nearer Horam.

    Hope everyone is home safe and grinning as much as I am :D

    The thing about my routes is no one knows which way we will go at the next junction. Least of all me :oops:

    Just got in. Avoided the rain and just a few damp roads to contend with. Only time I got cold was the last 30 mins as my fingers were a bit numb.

    Superb ride, had a great time - just wish it was getting in to summer again!!!

    Haha, whoops sorry. In my defence, I don't know the ashdown forest roads, I went past a Mercedes g wagon, in to a corner a bit too fast then realised the corner tightened more than I anticipated. At least Tom was on the ball.

    Not as bad as a left I took somewhere around Ide Hill - that was erm, well, interesting!!

    it all makes for the fun :D as long as its only a scare then everything is good. I am glad you decided to tilt in harder rather than aim at the soft grass :eek:

    Oh, and one funny little thing on the way home. I was 5 miles from home and I had to stop at a set of lights on a small dual carriageway (in the right hand side lane). As I am sitting there patiently I see from the corner of my eye a light blue transit van sitting in the left lane next to me.

    Then it starts revving, I take no notice but it continues to keep revving. I look over and see this woman and her mate laughing and asking for a race :p

    So, being a gentleman I offer her the lead as the lights change, she pulls away and I gently ease up next to her in first and as she looks over I blow her a kiss, offer a polite wave and properly gun it through first, second and third :giggle:

    Damn, damn, damn... I'm not jealous one bit that you lot were out in my back yard enjoying yourselves while I'm grounded for a few more weeks!

    I am :jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous::jealous: really :baby:
    But it's great to hear you all had a good ride.
