Surely that would make you happy that you got a better deal?

Speaking of insurance, mine have been in contact about the replacement tools.
Yes they're doing it, but no they can't find them all and no the claim limit isn't what they initially told me. So I have now skim off nearly £1k of tools from the list. Fun!

MCE are not the most popular, Seems a few people have had issues, and would read about some of there exploits before you jump in.

I would phone Ebike and see if they can match the quote, you will be surprised how by how much they will generally reduce the price

i just switched my car from NFU to Adrian Flux £320 full comp for SD&P usage. Unfort as my wife may use it for work in the snow...I had to add personal business...which added another £60 :( but still loads cheaper than NFU.

Phoned them yesterday. No reduction at all, not a penny. I think I'm going with MCE on the basis that hopefully I won't have to claim

Having Heard nothing about my R6 I phoned the insurance company today to chase it up. First I go through all the general questions with a helpful young lady and then I hear the word "oh" followed by I just need to put you on hold.

A claims manager comes on the line shortly afterwards. He wants to run through what happened again so I tell him. However and this is where I get pissed off he tells me my story doesn't match with the damage to both sides of my bike :mad: WTF there is only damage to one side so I tell him this. At which point he tells me he has seen the bike and there is damage to both sides and even without looking at the engine it's enough to write it off. My response was polite but very firm in that there was only damage to one side and if the bike has been further damage while in their care I will be less than impressed ( I reminded them that sending a car transporter to collect a motorbike was a stupid thing to do ) and that he best go back and check my bike over again and send me photos. They had been thinking that I had crashed while on a track day, the band from the GP looks a bit like a track day band to them so now I am wondering just how much extra damage there has been.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Did you take pictures, Tom? That would support your claim.

Having a Hypo at 3 o'clock in the morning. Woke up feeling shaky, sick, sweaty and not sure where I was. Why do these things happen at 3am when you are in the middle of a sleep and it is dark? The upside of it is I got to eat McVities Jamaican Ginger Cake, but the lead weight feeling I have at the moment is not good.

There was no damage at all on the other side. Someone is taking the p*** for sure. Let us know how the email went. As I said, I was there too as were the mechanics in Germany so between us I am sure we can give them a bit of "what for"!!

Thanks for your concern Yappa. They were up a little bit before I went to bed but not a major amount. Levelled out once I had something and during the next day so all back to normal now.

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to knock the dreaded ciggies on the head in an attempt to get a little fitter for a short run I am doing soon. However, since doing so my training sessions have been plagued with my asthma kicking in BIG time! I have gone from running 6-8 miles on a sunday morning with no need of my inhaler to this sunday struggling with 4 miles and using it twice! Apparently it could just be my body getting rid of the crap that has built up and is surpressed when I smoke and should clear itself soon. I hope so because if it doesnt I will not be able to do my little run next month :(

The weather versus the weather forecast. Never quite in tune with each other. Still, managed to fit in a reasonable ride after the morning rain and before the evening rain that came far too early. moto2.gif
