You wouldn`t believe the amount of people I see using the speaker option on their mobiles WHILE STILL HOLDING IT! Some people seem to thin its still legal to hold a phone in your hand as long as its not held to your ear. :bhead:

Then they are not responsible enough to be in charge of a car.....I keep saying this and I will say it again......cars should have a built in jammer for phones.....when engine running NO SIGNAL FOR THE PHONE!

TBH I Blame the government for so many things, if you cut out the route problem, then there would not be a problem. all cars by law should have hands free built in, blue tooth hands free are so cheap tbh all cars should have one for an mot. then they should make the fine £10k for texting. There are some systems that actually sends text to the head unit and displays it, then you can read it while driving and hands free call back if need. reading a text i guess is not a lot worse than a satnav. I remember the good old days where you had to read a map, and used to have it sat on my lap while driving planning the route :)

I beg to differ comparing reading a text to a quick glance at a satnav........mostly the satnav TELLS you where to go. And why the hell do we NEED to read a bloody text whilst driving?

As Kitten says, sat navs will speak the directions (unless you turn the speech off of course).

The way I see it is if I send a text, I DON`T expect an immediate reply. If I do, I phone.

Like many men, I need to be told. Firmly, by an authoritative female named Jane. Who dings at me if I take a wrong turn or fail to turn when instructed. I confess freely, I have, on occasion, ignored what I was told. It is to my shame that I did so, and, gentle reader, I discovered both times that in matters of geographical direction, Jane is all-powerful. And right.

The car needed a wash anyway and the trip through the farmyard only emphasised the need.

True. It's had an... interesting effect on the brakes so I guess I'm glad it didn't happen halfway round the ring. Anyway she's parked up safely now until it's fixed

Chopped down some trees yesterday so we can get the bikes down the side of the house to the gate. Got a holler from hubby and found the tree rotted and crawling with termites. Suburb I live in is notorious for termites, but god give us a break. Bleeding money here fixing this place to sale standard. Won't be able to sell without addressing it cause it'll fail it's sale checks! Not to mention just had someone here for a quote and we are looking at 2G!!! 2G!! 2G!! ARG! :fume: :bhead::fume: :bhead: :fume: :bhead:
