...in with the new, as the saying goes.

I've said goodbye to the Daytona 675 after almost 3 years and nearly 18,000 miles. A fantastic machine, the focused riding position was slowly starting to hurt my old bones.
After deliberation I've gone for another Triumph. Arguably the most famous name in motorcycling.

    The Triumph Bonneville.

Fitted the Hagons today. Thruxton length to give a 1" lift to the rear.
Awaiting delivery of a Lucas style Rear Light and Bullet Indicators before cutting down the rear mudguard.

Will raising the rear affect the handling at all?

It does. It makes it tip in slightly quicker.

So should make for a more "sporty" ride then?

Gwaaaaaan - now that you've started changing bits, you might as well go the whole way...

Very nice, but has clubman bars so not dissimilar to the Daytona in riding position.
There are loads of really nice Bonneville appearing all over the net, they seem to be one of the in bikes for customizers at the moment.

That Mule Bonnie in the photo above is what got me looking at Bonnevilles in the first place. My Bonnie is going to be a keeper so want to change it over time including a 904 kit. :)
