    i've just got a Honda CG 125, W reg, and just need to know a few things;

    1. lock barrel on a petrol cap:
    does anyone know how to, or if it's possible to change the lock barrel on a petrol cap for a CG 125?
    i've got 2 petrol caps but the cap that uses the ignition key has a broken keyhole cover and the other one's fine. can i swap the lock barrels over or repair keyhole cover?

    2: re-chroming the exhaust pipe
    the exhaust pipe is rusting a bit, how much roughly would it cost to re-chrome it or would it be worth just rubbing it down then spray it with the heat resistant black spray?

    and has anyone got a medium size fully waterproof bike cover knocking around?
    thanks

    Congrats on the new bike!

    1. It's probably possible to change the barrell but is probably a ballsaching job, just swap them and have a seperate key for the petrol or put a healthy dose of chain lube in the one with the broken cover to keep the working parts, working.

    2. Don't use heat resistant spray paint if you don't want it to be part of your weekly maintainance, unless you use a VHT primer it'll burn off before you know it. That said, if you do use a VHT primer you can use any colour paint you like :thumbsup:
    Alternatives to chrome (too much polishing) would be the afore mentioned paint or ceramic coating. Rechroming is possible but no idea what the price would be.
    The other option is a swanky stainless steel exhaust off mr. Watt. ;)

    Thanks, i'll probably just greast the old petrol cap or otherwise i'd be carrying around way too many keys :/ and i got kvh or kvf (somehig like that) paint for the exhaust, it's made for protecting exausts

    Dunno about the lock barrel , but you won't be able to rechrome the exhaust. They only chrome stuff that they can polish to a bright shine. So either repair it and get used to painting it or replace with stainless.

    I think there's a guy on here that can make you an exhaust in stainless, custom too. Would be what ever you like ;)

    Can't remember his name off the top of my head...

    I like that quote, who said it first? I usually say, just before dessert, " I like sponge, they don't give me anythin' sharp "
