SERV riders stick to the speed limits so that their whereabouts is always known. Well, so one of them told me anyway

I'm fairly sure they do ride safely...there's no point in the precious cargo not getting to where its going...its always the night shift and its set routes (they strongly discourage you to go on one of the google map ride out routes), so if you break down, some one can find you quickly to help you/finish the transport off.

I have looked into this, but I uhmm and ahhh about the night shift. I'll just stick to giving blood for the moment.

It's a worthwhile cause but the night shifts and dangers of riding at night at this time of year, ice and all. Then again for those of us with a four wheeler as well, could always do the runs in the winter in that.

I'm up to 16 donations and counting so far, but, as has been said before, as a biker I'm quite likely to need some back at some point!! (And also on the bone marrow register!) I'd help SERV, but the boat trip would slow the delivery down a bit!

Received a leaflet saying that men can now donate every 12 weeks but no more than 4 times per 12 months.
