    Dunno if I mentioned this on here, but a guy on another Forum did a Run What You Brung in August at the Bulldog Bash at Shakespeare County Raceway. He could only manage a 12.02 and wants to have a go at running an 11.9 this weekend at SCR. In the meantime he was asking for advice on how to make the bike, a SV1000S , better for drag racing. I gave hime some advice and agreed to meet at my place to do the mods. Meanwhile he had a serious accident on the bike, banged it and himself up a bit and now doesn't want to ride on the road at all. We did the mods and then he admitted that he was too ill to ride and would I mind having a go!!! Would have been rude not to.
    The second part of this mini adventure is, I was planning on driving up on Saturday morning in the Passat. Meanwhile a guy on another Forum has bought a CBR600F from Folkestone and he lives in Wolverhampton! So I am picking his bike up tomorrow lunchtime with the trailer and meeting him at SCR on Saturday. He will be paying all my fuel costs and providing some beer money as well. RESULT!!!

    Well had a great weekend at Shakepeare County Raceway near Stratford upon Avon. Arrived late coz M25 shut! paid, scrutineered and pushed bike, a SV1000S to the start line. It was my mate Lee's bike, but he was too ill to ride, so I said I'd give it a go. First time on the strip for 24 years! I warned him that the first run would be a shakedown run, as I had never ridden the bike or used a foot gearchange on the strip since 1983. I came back and he acused me of being a " feckin useless tvat". His best time 12.02 at 94mph terminal speed, mine 11.74 at 120!!!!
    Met an old drag racing mate there, his first meet since 1984, mine since 1988. So we paired up for a few runs, him on a newish Z1000. Here's a video;

    Nice one Alan:thumbsup: . I take it anti-wheelie bars are optional? Maybe just for top fuel machinery?

    Yes mate, would have been happy with a 11.9, but a 11.74 , followed by a 11.38!!! Dunno how Lee managed 94mph , but we ran between 119 and 125mph. Just gotta launch it now without wheelying. May be a 10.9 in there one day?
    Another video for ya;
