Lots of places have reported it now... I think it's fair to say it's official.

Been on the cards for nearly a year now. I know a guy that was a Store Manager at one of the branches and he said that he was employed on a Self Employed basis for the last 6 months he was there he had been paid late. The stores had all been stripped to stock the stand at last years NEC and they never restocked them. They'll probably be an online entity from here on in...

This is a serious downer. The last couple of branches I've been too have been the most friendly bike stores I've been to.

    Their website says:

Due to difficult trading conditions Hein Gericke UK is now trading in administration whilst the future of the UK operation is determined and hopefully secured. The UK administrators, Moorfields Corporate Recovery are looking to hear from interested parties and are currently marketing the business.

They are also saying that there is a big sale on!

It's 20% off marked prices, so as Sporty said elsewhere, you will still be relieved of a serious amount of wedge in exchange for a few items. I bought some new gloves for my son; his first ever pair were cheap and have been, um, modified by him - they therefore admit rain and no longer protect the knuckles - ahem.

Knocking back the sticker price of £120 to £96 isn't a great bargain, but at least he now has a decent pair of gloves. There seem to be lots of one and two piece leathers and textiles in the Maidstone store and yards of helmets.

'Yards of helmets' in Maidstone? Surely you mean Old Compton Street in Soho? Fnarrr fnarrr.

bikestop.co.uk have a great deal on some Dainese Joust Gloves. I might be buying another pair, they are really comfortable and did their job well...

I heard the same thing from a salesperson in the Reading store on Saturday, still I managed to save £400 on a new textile suit in the sale. :D

Lol, I tried it on over the brace, but couldn't do it up properly, had four people helping me size it up so should be great once the brace is off. :)
