Ride out Sunday 24th June

Hi all after my first ride out on the track bike I'm wanting to get some decent mileage under my belt this coming Sunday,I know some are going Lydden on sat unfortunately my funds can't stretch to a td at the min .Im no good with routes as I'm not to clued up with the south east (being a northerner) so any suggestions would be great maybe anyone local to me (glyne gap) could meet me there then move on to meet others if needed would be a great help

If you go due north from Glyne Gap (A271) then onto the A22 (North) @ the Boship Roundabout. Then turn left marked Lewes (B2124) the pub is on the right about 2 miles along as you enter village

 

Me three....have arranged the day off....however, the weather forecast says it is going to p*ss it down! Fingers crossed they are wrong again

 

I fancy a decent rideout if weather good and bike on at least 3 cylinders?

 

sounds good to me as long as im back before dark as ive got no headlight

i know some routes (destinations really) and have a comedy sat nav for variety

 

If it's dry I'll be out... but seeing as it'll be my first time on the bike for two months I'll meet you lot for coffee and do the riding by myself whilst I get used to the bike again.

I'll get up Sunday morning, if it's wet I'll wait till the afternoon, if it's dry I'll be riding. Don't understand why people plan their lives around weather forecasts that are usually WRONG!

think saturday might be the safer bet for me weather wise although i know some of u are heading to lydden and if the sun is out on sunday it just means i get two days on the bike what do u think ?

 

I can't make Saturday as I have to get the old house sorted out. Going to be gutted if I don't get out on the bike this weekend.

true but my bike is kept in robertsbridge at a family members house as i have nowhere closer to keep it so if im going out on a ride i pick it up the day before so i can get out on it early, so although the weather man is normally wrong i still need to half trust him so not to waste time picking the bike up.i hope to be sorting a garage out soon might make things a bit easier
