Going down to the Heart (radio station that is) studio this morning to meet with some of the other like minded idiots people that are doing the Brighton marathon. Also having a little chat and a run with Jack along with everyone else. Then off to Brighton to get a new pair of trainers and some lunch with the wife. Found a cracking tiny little place (Twisted lemon I think it was called) and had a lovely junk food, homemade style burger with spicey wedges...YUM!

 

going on my first ride out on the wuyang, although it kept spluttering and cut out once (sparkplug was nearly hanging out, but now sorted)

 

FINALLY finding a brand new genuine seat cowl for Gabriella. Right part, right colour, good price and I dont have to go through the hassle of trying to get one from the States and no more dodgy mismatched colour Chinese knock offs!!! You have no idea how many Yamaha dealerships and parts sellers around the world Ive called, how many web searches Ive done, how many fellow Silver R1 riders Ive hassled or how many times Ive visited eBay in the vain hope of finding one!

 

You definitely sound happy about it, just get it secured properly so we don't see it feature in the p*ssed off thread in a few days, m'kay

 

The SP1 cover has also got a habit of coming of as well, on their forum they suggest using some sort of teather,(cable tie,wire etc) so if it does come undone, it doesnt bounce down the road and then lose it, I wish I had taken more notice of, as my cover now has the scars

The kindness of Les, Gary and Paul to hump boxes and furniture this afternoon so my friend and colleague could rescue some of his possessions from a container company which was going out of business.

 

Wife watching one born every minute whilst I sit here with headphones on...first up: ignorance by Paramore then it goes on shuffle so who knows! Luther, pistols, clash, UB40, U2, Depeche Mode woohoo! Bring it on!

Thinking of two of our sons, in Wales, miles from anywhere, off road riding on the coldest weekend of the year. He he. No doubt there'll be some bent metal by Sunday.
