We have 2 identical car alarm remotes that each need fine soldering where the battery holder meets the pcb. Clifford alarms don't do repairs & want £50+ each for new ones, so I just wondered if anyone knew somebody who's used to micro soldering. I can do normal soldering but nothing this fiddly, where temp has to be just right so's not to damage the board.

Funnily enough, I saw my precison solder gun today...

It was down the back of the desk underneath the prototype stabilisers... Needless to say it hasn't seen use in a while and is also, unfortunately, fooked.

    Sorry dude.

I used to fit are alarms and one of the things we also used to do was provide new fobs for people who had broken theirs. This was some time ago and I dont recall doing any for Clifford alarms but we only used to charge £20 for them. Have you shopped around some of these car alarm specialists? There used to be a company in Tooting called motorvation (or something like that) that I think did them. Other than that I cant think of anyone that does this type of soldering, sorry.
