They had been out last night when I came back from Gatwick & saw another out tonight while collecting a take away. Mind you, the car was registering -0.5C at 7pm tonight.

plenty of salt put down last night, which make sense when it was forecast to rain today. i mean they don't want to put it down if it isn't going to be washed away straight away

That's Surrey for you..... Richest county in the UK yet they have the worst potholes and no salt reserves....

Typical, lots of overtime rates for some council wallers, wasting salt that could be well worth the wait for later on...coz you never know what might be around the corner......and now it's going to piss down for the rest of the week......and all washed away....maybe,
Although it takes some washing away....ever wondered about that gritty / dusty shite in the middle of the road during summer, prob' salt......It's out there for a long time if not all the time.....
Thats why i always give my bikes a WD40 wipe down after a good clean and polish.....Does it for me.....
