    The bit that makes me laugh is this bit



    Its not the speed per say, its the gearing that causes the engine to rev higher at those speeds thus increasing fuel consumption.

    Latest update on BBC news is that it will now go to consultation with a view to being implemented in 2013, if successful. It won't apply to Scotland and Northern Ireland though, just England and Wales (for what it's worth).
