Coxy's footrest bracket

Coxy's dopey neighbour knocked his bike over and broke the footrest bracket. So that he could come on our rideout this morning, he repaired it with chemical metal. He texted me and I said we'd come straight down to have a look. The repair looked solid, but I don't trust CM for anything other than blocking holes up and cosmetic repairs. Managed to talk him into not riding the bike and offered to get it TIG welded for him. When we got back from our rideout, I applied a bit of downward pressure on the repair and sure enough , it snapped. Here's two pix of the "repair"




A valuable lesson learned. Hopefully he will get a replacement off eBay and will have this repaired one for another emergency!!!

just brought a new bracket with compleate brake set up ready to just bolt on all for 38 pound Kawasaki wanted 64 pound for the bracket alone so ill be on the road VERY soon
