    Would I get in a car with a drunk behind the wheel, NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. It's not nice, but the victim had a choice, and got it oh so wrong.

    I read this on the train this morning too... What I can't understand is she was thrown from the car... which means she wasn't wearing a seatbelt... So she not only got into the car with a drunk/drugged up driver she never buckled up either...

    I did ask the guv' at work the other day when I got yet another safe procedure list to sign, have we now deleted the words, common and sense from the Oxford English Dictionary. I think the answer may well be yes, and this is why we allegedly need the nanny state and the matron at Euro HQ to guide our every decision. They have to protect us from ourselves, but they can do jack about morons.
