Not warped discs; what could it be??

    It's always the simple things innit???

    Wasn't the forks, wasn't the wheel, wasn't the discs.....

    It's the bloody brake pads rattling on the brake pins :bhead:

    That's drag from something not being lined up properly. Most likely a slightly sticky piston or air lock behind one, you pull the lever and one doesn't move as much as the other allowing the pad to shudder instead of being pressed firmly against the disc. By the sound of it.

    When you pull the lever the pads should be pressed firmly against the disc or you won't be braking, rattling means they're not and is bad.

    Just for the record if you have floating discs check the bobbins are clean and free .....i.e the disc is still floating
    On the gsx1400 its a common problem for the disc to become static due to road grime on the bobbins ...quick solve is.....
    put a nut and bolt through the bobbin and attach a drill to the bolt ....spray brake cleaner onto the bobbin and spin it at a reasonable speed ( you dont wanna make it glow :)) and that should clear all the crud and see your disc floating again.
