not on just a confession he isn't :D unless they can prove it then they can't do anything. He needs to hope no one was out filming or that he didn't pass any cctv at speed as that might get him in trouble

I was thinking on just taking him to court, and then he has 2 choices, Lie at a huge risk, considering he has already admitted it, or admit and well god only Knows, Somehow I see he is in a lose lose situation.

he put it in the press how much of that is ever true ? it's not the same there is already the freedom to play the hand that he hyped it up for ratings and was just stating what a prefect lap could have been :D

    Comments aren't much without evidence.

It's like when people confess to other crimes (oddly it's popular with murder cases!). If they don't have any evidence to back it up then it equates to nothing but a waste of police time.

Of course, it wasn't he wot wrote the article: everyone knows he talks at 100mph and says the same thing several times, each phrase somehow overlaid into the previous one and all delivered in deepest, darkest Lincolnshire accent. So the poor ghost writer probably picked out a couple of hundred individual words and assembled them into some sort of order. It made great copy, but was it actually what he said? I doubt it. ;)

Now what did he actually do? He's probably ashamed at having taken as long as 22 minutes for the lap (cf the <18 minutes he normally takes) and is hoping his Racing Team boss didn't notice.
