The TZR250 has pee'd me off and is lurking in the dog house now!!

It only fired on the right cylinder when I started it on Wednesday so yesterday I pulled the carbs and ran all the jets through my ultrasonic cleaner. I have to do his every year or two due to infrequent use and crappy petrol gumming up jets and passageways.

Put it back together today and fired it up and it p1ssed petrol out from one (or both) of the carbs. I assume a stuck float needle so, new pair of float bowl gaskets ordered (chuffed Yamaha still have stock) and they have yet again been removed and this time I will give the actual carbs a thorough ultrasonic clean.

Need to degrease so much on it and it really needs restoring the more I look at it so maybe get this year out of the way and around September/October give it a full strip, clean, paint and restore and a new set of piston rings as a precaution.

But until it redeems itself it will still be in the dog house and I will still be pi$$ed at it!!

Indeed, at least Beelady loves it!!! Going to get some BBQ paint and rub the exhausts down as well. It has loads of oil over the pipes and crankcase as the left pipes springs that secure it to the collars have gone walkies. No wonder it sounded a bit sick.

New springs ordered so once cleaned up and a few things attended to it should be fine for this years biking but will need tidying up this coming winter I think.

Might even get a spare set of plastics to do the new paint on and keep the originals in the loft.

Getting called into a meeting tomorrow with the boss to discuss why our sales are down 20% on target...I have a feeling its because I am not doing my job fully...I have had to manage two of his jobs for the past year taking up a minimum of a day a week, doing his autocad drawings because he won't bring in someone, sorting out our new website, sorting out our computer systems, training staff, recovering potential losses by basic cock ups made by our estimator, doing estimates because our guy goes to a meeting in London and disappears for the day a couple of times a month (and he picks up his new first company car this week), sorting out issues at site meetings on our contracts and yet I should be going out meeting and finding new clients...WHEN FFS! hey ho there are probably still more jobs I could squeeze in as well as my own after all I am only doing 12 hours a day out of 24!

Sorry for the rant just feeling a bit shite!

that's crap. With all the extra you have been doing he should simply pay you more :cash: or at least give you a company track bike :D

So what you seemto be saying is, you can't cope with your own job. Never mind the other stuff; if you can't do your own job...

Still you can always apply for the other jobs when you are fired.

Just telling you the Real Story!

If I didnt do the other stuff then I would be able to concentrate my time and efforts into actually doing MY job. Oh and I have just been told that one of the contracts I am working has increased from £220k to almost £500k due to extra works I have negotiated but that hasnt gone down on my sales figures because it is an existing contract!!!!!

Thanks guys. Usually he is pretty ok with things. I think our young estimator has been whispering in his ear! Time will tell as I know that now he has got his company car he will disappear more often. I will just revert back to what I was doing a couple of years ago...producing various reports (one of which the boss has asked for) detailing why we are losing out because the estimates arent going out of the door and I dont have time to do them because I am out vsisting clients. It will all work out in the end, it usually does :)

I got a call about the repairs to my car looking at £1500.00 :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

The cars isn't worth a lot more than that so I now have to decide do I cut my loses and buy something cheap, try and buy newer and HP it or bite the bullet and have the car repaired

I could do without it having spent £500 on the cat that got mushed in December :(

and I am still waiting on my insurance cheque, I am guessing that will be 28 days from the date agreed if I am lucky

I can't see me doing the track day in spain now :poop::poop::poop:

    That sucks Tom

And now to join you in a little rant...

Thanks to a Tw@t of a courier rider this morning I have had a little prang in my car and may have to shell out for the £750 excess bill...

Driving in lane 3 on the M25 just past Junction 7 when a courier rider joined the motorway, squeezed in between two lorries then pulled out in front of the car in front of me. We both had to slow down (we werent even at 70 at this moment!) at which point the guy in front of flashed the rider. The rider then gestured and the guy flashed again. The rider then decided to hit the brakes taking us down to around 40 and then started to speed up. I had no chance of pulling into any of the other lanes because it was so busy. The next thing I knew was that the rider then decided to come to almost a complete standstill in an emergency stop style! The guy in front of me slammed on his brakes as did I but I still rear ended him. Meanwhile the rider took off. Thankfully no one was hurt (as it could have caused a major incident) and not a great deal of damage done but an insurance claim any way.

So if anyone here decides to do this sort of thing in anger of being cut up or what ever, spare a thought about what could happen further back. Unfortunately I could not see the riders number plate and the guy didnt get it either.

what an arse. I get so pissed off when people do this kind of thing without checking to see who else is likely to be involved. but to do it on a bike is stupid they never win against a car

I went down the HP route a few years ago and to be honest I do not miss the monthly dollars and I don't worry about the car being costly or unreliable
Hope you can still make Almeria somehow.
Maybe we should have a whip round
