    They work well in a sliding crash, long as you don't hit any immovable objects (like a kerb), every crash is different so they may/may not save your bike. :)

    They also work well when your bike is not moving forwards ie when most accidents happen, falling over when at a standstill !!!:)

    Oh, so that's where I've been going wrong! I must make sure I'm stationary before falling off next time.:D
