Rideout Sunday 30th December , Mickeys Diner, Detling Hill

I,ll deffo be there and a few others from North Kent. Possibly a two hour rideout. On googlmaps please jay.

 

I will be as long as the weather gonna be okish, Chillham has a good tea cake shop

 

I'm out subject to the usual, probably have a mate tagging along too. A couple of hours circular route or so would be good for me.

 

Use this. I'll be leaving the cafe at the top of Detling Hill at 10:30 sharp (weather permitting).

Will use that route if I can remember it, can't find Satnag. Won't be leaving cafe until 1200ish as I am meeting other people.

 

Are there now two rideouts?

 

Finchy has said he is leaving Mickey's at 1030 to do his rideout. I am meeting other people, including Napa121, between 1000 and 1200, depending on the weather. I will be leaving Mickey's at 1200, to do Finchy's route, if I can remember it, coz I can't find my SatNag.

 

I have managed to upload Finchy's route to my Satnav so we should be good.....

 

TBH Weather not looking that good either, and windy to boot

 

Really? BBC & Accuweather both say Cloudy and dry pretty much everywhere in the south east for most of the day...

Are we 100% sure this place is open too? I went to 2 cafes today that we normally frequent, and both were closed today

I'm aiming to meet up with a mate and get to the cafe at Detling around 11ish. Hopefully the two ride out times can morph into one.

 

Most people will arrive after 1030. Neil has route on his SatNav and I think I can remember it.

 

Probably best if everyone aims for Mega's timing as I have stuff to do in the afternoon and so will be out early. I'll go straight from Bredgar instead of the cafe, so may see you on the route (although you'll be a couple of hours after me, so I'll probably be back at home and enjoying a cuppa before you've started). Have a good run - it's a nice route. Just beware of the usual mud etc in a couple of the lanes (Bredgar & Selling areas).

Ps - As far as petrol stations go, obviously there's one where you start. The next is in Lenham on the A20, then Ashford, then Biddenden (I think). The little one on the hill at Sutton Valence might be open, but don't rely on it.
