Mine's the turning off the east-bound M-25 on to the A-21 - it's smoothish, goes on for ever and although it does tighten before the end, is an easy 50miler or 60mph if pressing on a bit. I like it in the car too...

    So - fun and legal!

So, come on, Hanna: which is your favourite bend? Or is it the one you just took?

Erm... there are lots... mainly in Germany! I cannot say - I don't remember road names let alone individual bends. Obviously I've not been riding long enough. ;)

Have you never been inspired to turn the bike around and rerun that last wiggley bit because you didn't get the line quite right or, if only you'd started nearer the kerb, you'd have managed another 5mph while staying safely on your own side with forward vision? You've been riding longer than me, I reckon.

Or is it just me? Is it just this particular aspect of biking I find fascinating and especially challenging? Anyone??

I do like the long left hander at Jury's Gap on the Camber road, heading towards Lydd. Once I can see no other vehicles or water on it , I like to wind the throttle open and power into the next set of fast bends before the farm!!!

The slip road for Ebbsfleet off the London bound A2 is ok. I also like the bend coming from Challock onto the Sturry Road into Canterbury. I like most bends, but I'm not a bender!

Can't remember any specific bends, but the A26 in Newhaven is a great stretch of bends even if it is very short.

The nice fast left handed bend at the top of Cazaletts, Shipbourne, ( the road from Tonbridge to Igtham that passes thro Shipbourne) 100 mph from kerb to kerb, euphoric!
Mate crashed there at 30 and did £1800 of damage to his Kawa 1000.......(posing for the camera) :giggle:
On the return journey from that bend, 130 mph down past cazaletts straight and hit the brow in the road and up she comes, and it's a hard fought battle to get it back to terra firma.....:rubhands: Get it wrong and you're dead meat! Many have............................

Does Eau Rouge at Spa-Francorchamps count? It used to be public road.

In Devon, there's a terrific hairpin up the hill from Slapton Ley. Here in Kent, there's a rather nice flip-flop sharp right/left on the B2080 from Tenterden into Appledore.

Zig-Zag hill in Dorset is one of my favourite sequences of bends in the UK. I think my favourite roads anywhere are the Gorge de l'Ardeche, anything round the Monts du Cantal, the roads up Mont Ventoux and the Stelvio pass. Oh and one near Lake Isabella in the Sierra Nevada - so good I got to the bottom with my riding buddy and we turned round and did it again.

Bends scare me. I dismount and push my bike round them every time. Saves on tyres too.

Can't say I've thought about particular bends that much, but I do enjoy the bit between Challock and Chilham.

Richard - if you ever fancy a ride around Challock area, let me know - I'll guide you. I included those bends on the ride-out I organised last Autumn and have attacked them with aplomb on a few occasions.

I don't think my bike has one of those, but you never know. I've just found Challock on the map. It seems quite close to my Mum's house in Pluckley, so I should go check it out the next time I visit her. Then perhaps I might borrow your 'plomb' to do it properly? ;)
