For the first time in years, I have got some time off over the christmas period........main client is off to Bangkok for two weeks from 23rd December, another has just had a baby, so not needed there either for awhile. And tother one is just a miserable old bugger, but that is only one day a week, think I can cope with that.

Yup. You try getting staff to work that day. I usually wind up doing that and the Boxing day shift. And thanks to a quirk in the employment stuff, if it falls on a weekend, you only get weekend rate, which, is no more than the week day rate.....but hey, cant have everything.

You got that right mate. When I was a kid, Christmas day was like a scene from "28 days later". A few cars going past on the way to rellies & that was about it.

Ahh the dates with a stupid plastic 2 pronged fork that the prongs snapped off the first time you tried to use it & when you tried to pull a date out, the whole pack would lift up as one.
