    Car test? Well done. I was always told that people make far better car drivers if they have ridden a bike for a few years - something to do with understanding about different road surfaces, I believe. What was the minor?

    Or are you being economical with the truth here: actually you ploughed into a Morris Minor and wrote it off completely? That would be 1 fault!

    Surely that would be a bonus mark? :D

    You're allowed up to 15 minor faults before you fail. Or 3 in any one area.

    Went down the tip at 8:15am (allowing for the clock change) with all the rubbish I cleared out of the garage yesterday. Turns out the tip doesn't open until 9:00am. Doooh! :dunce:

    Spending 50 quid on halloween costumes;
    Taking an hour to apply the face makeup and make the costume work;
    An hour to get to the house party by public transport;
    Total of two hours (delayed bus) to get to nominated drinking location;
    Twenty minute walk to get to club;
    Group member without ID so got kicked out...

    I'm sure it's too early to be pissed off, but to be honest I was pissed off at 4.30am when the hot water system alarm went off alerting me to a leak.

    Now I look at the thing, brown stuff over the top of the tank (which already has the cover off), a pipe broken from its fixing, and I think I've switched the water off, but there is water coming out of the taps.

    I have had problems with this for 5 months and the management agency has not yet replaced it. I wonder if they'll do anything today, even though the last time an engineer came around he recommended that the tank be replaced, and they haven't done it.

    :fume: :fume:

    If its the hot water tank, make sure that the immersion heater is off too else that will burn out once the tank is empty. Again, if its the hot water tank thats causing the probs, there will still be water coming out until the tank empties.

    I'm allowed to just be angry now, aren't I?

    The guy who last came to look at it, didn't send the report to the managing agent. So as far as they're concerned they don't even know what happened last time.

    Yes, I may well be very irritating today as I am sitting on my arse in a flat full of never ending laundry and washing up, I'd like to have a shower, and I am more than a little peeved at incompetence.

    Sounds roughly right as well as the fuse box there should be an I/O switch on the unit itself, it should have a little 'on' light, if it's not on then it's off... Wow, I'm going to get a coffee before I try helping anymore :confused:
