    Taking my boy to southampton and leaving him there to start the next chapter of his life.(marine engineering) was very hard driving away and leaving him there :-( and then my Doris starting secondary school on Monday..good job i wasnt a work yesterday as lots of :cry:

    Crazy mini seller (the one that jerked me about on the price then didn't sell), sends me a txt this morning "you can have it for £1300" what, now i'm mind made up on another?
    My other concern is why? Why suddenly readvertise and drop the price by £250? Am I just a cynic and looking for a problem?

    Maybe he was playing you off against someone else...that someone else was also yanking his chain...now he's left with zilch...hence is texting back to you...:whistle:
    Besides having a good look over it and getting HPI checked etc...it may pay someone like RAC to do a full check aswell as get it hoisted.
    Mini's amongst other things things get cut n shut quite often :ninja:

    That's a possibility too, I was suspecting that someone took a learned fellow along with them and spotted something untoward. So now he's trying to get rid quick.

    I'm going ahead in my quest for the one I saw yesterday for now, I'll know by this afternoon either way and can then get back to the other guy if I'm not already buying one.

    It's not so much the "if" more the why i'm concerned by. Suddenly dropping 15% of a price I'd agreed upon previously strikes me as very odd, very odd.

    If you have it checked out beforehand that would flag up any issues and give peace of mind. :thumbsup: I remember looking at a Mini Clubman when I was 17, and although it looked fine, when I got the engineers (AA/RAC) report...he said it was a death trap! :laugh:
